Mrs. Tonya Garrett

I started teaching at Shiloh in 1999.  I was excited to be teaching but thought I would only be at Shiloh for one year: then I would go find a "real" teaching job.  What I didn’t realize at the time was that God already gave me my real teaching job.  He knew that I was supposed to be at His school teaching His Word to His children.  I’m so glad He knows so much more than me!

During my time here, I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach many amazing children, two of which have been my own.  I have watched them grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.  Not only did I notice a closer connection to God in my children and students, but I also noticed a growth in myself.  Through Shiloh, God has taught me how to not be a hearer only, but a doer of His Word.
